Quilting Update and School Awards!

I have been working on my Underground Railroad Blocks!!
I am making a quilt from fabrics that were printed during the Civil War era. Each block represents a quilt that was made during that time in order to send a message to Runaway Slaves who were unable to read.
The quilts and/ or quilt blocks helped tell the slaves how and where to get supplies and help during their flight to freedom!!

I am loving all of the different blocks!

This is a paper pieced block that I am making for a "Sewing" Themed Quilt!

I am in love with these colors and the theme of this quilt!

I don't know why I don't work on one quilt at a time. For some reason I do best while working on multiple projects at once!

Right before School ended the kids were awarded their end of the year awards: Alyssa got several!

She is soooo Awesome!

This is her Drama Award!

Scotty!

I am glad that the school recognizes the kids for their individual talents!

Fun With ABBY & the Kids!

After the Villages Quilt Show I took Abby home with me for an impromptu sleepover!
She is so much fun!
So Much ENERGY!!!
I love it! She wanted to play piano and sing with Uncle Detto!

She loved every minute of it!

Stephen is sooooo cute! Both Stephen and Alyssa are growing up so fast!

While Abby was over...
Nana called!Abby HAD TO TALK!!

This girly LOVES to talk on the phone!

She also LOVES to play with TOYS! I love that she know right where her toys are and that she is fairly self-entertaining!

Notice Sissy in the background??Abby insisted on watching cartoons while playing! So... Sissy complied!

I am still going to school FULL TIME... It is getting old quick! I am starting to feel like there is not much point in me completing my degree.
I am sure the cats constant disruption has NOTHING to do with my frustration...

Do you see this CRAZY Juliet??

She will squeeze into ANY spot!

This is my VALENTINES Wall hanging that I am working on... What do you think?

In process - quilting!
I don't quilt very many things on my home machine anymore.
It is sooooo much easier to throw it on Lisa's "Merida" (her short arm machine) and whip it out.
I still enjoy quilting on my machine... especially when it is something this small!

Family & Quilting Update

Things have been going great around the Mongiovi House!
We have been praying for God's will in a few decisions and I am starting to feel peace. I know that being in God's will is the ONLY important thing!!

I love that Detto is right here for me to bother anytime that I want! LOL
He is so sweet!
The kids are doing GREAT in school!
Alyssa just got all A's and only 2 B's on her report card!

Stephen only has ONE more week of Public school before he comes back home! I am really glad that he is wanting to do Florida Virtual School at HOME, in order to finish up High School more quickly!

I have been working on some more quilts:
I am LOVING the scraps in this one!
These are for the Quilted Hugs Project!

These are scraps from Sissy's Quilt top...
I am not sure yet what I am going to make, but it is slowly talking to me!
I'm trying to decide if I should put a dark pink strip before this last border....

Like this?!?!?
Well,
I pray that you have a BLESSED DAY!!

Quilting Update... Process Pledge!

I have been working on quite a few quilts lately!

I made this cute pillow! It was part of a Jellyroll race! I made a matching quilt, which I will show later.

I have been working on Sissy's quilt and I decided to make a border.
What do you think??

Here are the squares...
I have been using these as leaders and enders.

Then I decided to make a fall quilt!Now...
What am I going to do for focus fabric?
I was thinking black or...

Maybe this...What do you think?

I love this sashing.
It has been coming along fairly quickly.
These houses and snowmen were swapped a few years ago.
I have been meaning to make them into something, but I couldn't decide what.
Now I've decided!
I love it!

Family Update & A Quilt!

I have started and finished quite a few quilts that I have not blogged about!
It is amazing how many quilts that I finish each year.
This is one that I am working on from the left over pieces from Alyssa's Owl Quilt!
That quilt top is already finished and waiting for me to decide if I am going to quilt it or have it quilted.
We have also had a new addition to our family... Johnny has moved in with us.
It has been a great blessing to have him here. I love my nieces and nephews and Johnny is such a good boy!

He is so silly and fun to be around.

Johnny has been with us for almost 3 months, time sure does fly! He has made HUGE improvements and we are so proud of him!
Johnny is going to school at Adventure Christian with Alyssa. They both are loving school and their grades show it! All A's and 3 B's between them!
What a blessing to have such GREAT kids!

Process Pledge... Quilted Hugs

I have been cranking out some quilt tops.
Most of these are for Quilted Hugs & some of them have no known destination.

This quilt top is finally finished.
Amara picked the lay-out and Lisa gave me the Crazy swirly fabric that I used for the border.

This Batman Panel turned out GREAT!  All I added was the black border and the red striped fabric! Easy Quilt Top!

I prepared some final touches to some of my Summer Fun Quilt blocks to work on while I went to Ohio.

I thought this table runner was finished, but I had some more inspiration.

These are just SOME of the books that I have listed on Amazon, e-Bay, and the Homeschool Group's sight for SALE!!

I started this as a leaders and enders project. I am not sure what to call it.... Maybe Orange in the Corner??

My Mom gave me some bandanna's..Do you think they would make a good quilt top??

Here is an updated picture of my Precious Boy!
He is getting SOOOOOOO BIG!
He has graduated from Middle School.... I cannot believe I have a HIGH SCHOOL-ER in the house.
pppppppppppffffffffffffffffff

Lisa
