Villages Quilt Show ~ Part 2!

I love all of the details on this little wall hanging!

This block is also on my "Quilt Bucket List"! It is a New York Beauty!
All paper pieced and very intricate!
Stunning!

 Look at this AMAZING embroidery!
Isn't it beautiful? I cannot believe all that can be done with a sewing machine!

This is one that I have always wanted to do. It is a McKenna Ryan Applique Quilt!

Once again Blue and White Quilts draw me in!

I LOVE SCRAP QUILTS!

I had to show this Sign!
Lisa and I brought our own cotton gloves to feel the stitching on the quilts and we were stopped and told that ONLY "Guild Member's" are permitted to touch the quilts! It was interesting that the signs did not tell any of that info!
It made Lisa and I laugh!
I will show more of the quilt show soon!

Just Keep Sewing...

I have been steadily working on my scrap bin.
I am determined to make lots of quilts out of my scraps.
Here is one that I threw on the design wall to see if I liked it... and I do like it!

Here is an update of my other scrap quilt that I am working on. The blocks are growing and growing.
Soon I will have them big enough to square up and make a top out of.
I have been using my scrappy strips for this, but the bin doesn't seem to be shrinking.
This is always a GREAT leaders and enders project.

I have also decided to work on some cross-stitching.I found a pattern at Wal-mart (of all places right?) and I have been working on this in the car and while "watching movies or TV".

Here is my quilt top finished. I like that all of the columns are pretty close to being the same size. This quilt top reminds me of a Chinese coin quilt pattern.

Also, I saw this post and it inspired me to spruce up my body pillow.
I had this fabric mostly sewn together in my scrap bin from a purse that I made over two years ago.
All that I had to do was change the pattern to fit my style (I didn't want tie's on both ends and I didn't want the fabric to be multiple sizes.) & voila.... I have a new body pillow cover.
Now I can enjoy cuddling to my Moda fabric at night (in my bed) and during the day (in my sewing room).

More Quilting Progress

Well, I finally finished a few quilt tops!
I was very pleased to get them done.
I get such a great sense of accomplishment whenever I finish a quilt top.

I have been hand embroidering this block. I finished a few more books. Only one more to go and then I am done with this block!

I pulled this quilt out of my closet and added this soft green border. I really like the size of it. Its not too big, but not too small.

This Spring Quilt is coming along GREAT!
Only one more border and then it is ready to go to the Longarmers.
I want this quilt to have an intricate pattern.
I can not wait to see it finished!

Here is the last border cut and ready to be sewn on.

And finally it is finished! I just LOVE it!
What do you think?

Here are some flannel squares that I cut.I cut them into 7" squares. I have two sets, one boy and one girl set.
I also cut a bunch of 10" squares out of girl fabric.
I am thrilled that all of this is from my stash.
I am really cutting down my bins of stored fabric. I am glad because I do not want to end up like the lady who's fabric was sold at the church. (I posed about it here.)

When I stopped sewing to check something on the computer I found Jackson hiding under the desk.
I love that he comes in the sewing room while I am sewing. He is so cute!

The Grainery - Fabric - Mexico

The Fabric and Embrodery was my favorite part of the museum.

That is why I am doing this part separate from the rest of the pictures!

These samplers were all done by hand.

I cant believe how intricate it is.

This is an old hand tied loom.

I love this weaving.

The Pinata's were sooo cool!

This guy looks like he had a little too much fun!

I love this lamp.

This is Alyssa, Hildago, & Stephen

I love this shot!

The murals were amazing!
