New Years Eve 2013

I was looking back over my blog and realized that I forgot to post about our New Years Eve Bash...
Well, it was just the four of us, but we had fun toasting in 2013!!
Sissy and I rocked out to the different artists on TV waiting for the Ball to Drop in Time Square!

She is sooo cute!

Hobbs enjoyed my singing.... LOL
I love this cute little face!

Jackson was so sleepy and our singing kept him awake!

Detto and Stephen worked on recording some music... Stephen kept making strange faces, so I didn't post any pics of him!!!

And I made this...I picked up this picture frame at our Thrift Store for $1.00!! Then I removed the glass, covered the back with fabric and glued on all of my foreign coins.
When it dried I hung it on my Traveling Wall!!
I LOVE IT!

And I love this guy too!

I enjoyed having the cozy fire and watching the show!!
It was a WONDERMUS New Years Eve!
I hope your was great too!

Jackson and Zoey - Pals!

I love my Jackson SSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Much! He is such a good dog!

Amy's dog Zoey came for a visit and Jackson really liked playing with her.

They get along so good together!
I am so glad!

Abby came too and she sure did keep us on our toes!

She liked getting her feet washed.

Then she decided to water the flowers!

Isn't that just adorable?

I sure do love this little smooshie!

Family Game Day ~ Staycation ~ Day 4

We spent Day 3 with Abby playing and then....
Day 4 we went swimming in the pool and playing games!

Detto cooked dinner....
It was YUMMY!!

Jackson got a hair cut.

Isn't he cute?
Amy does such a GREAT job grooming him.

We played Apples to Apples together...

Alyssa looked so happy when her card was not picked! LOL

Stephen had to explain his choice of cards.

We actually laughed all night. Some of these cards are just plain ridiculous.

Jackson could not be left out of the fun.
He kept jumping on Detto's lap.
I love it!

"Staycation" Fun with Abby!

This week we stayed home on Wednesday & Thursday to watch Abby and enjoy our home!

Abby decided to feed her doggie.

Then she wanted to clean him up.

She loves Jackson. She decided to give him hugs.

When he took off  she was NOT happy...

Detto saved the day and got Jackson back for her to love on.

Abby loves her "Uncle Dado"!She wants to be everywhere he is and do everything he does.

When she eats it cracks me up.

Thursday she had to have her "Cowgirl" hat on while she ate her "rogurt"!

Abby made a "messy mess" and had to clean it up!

I love watching her.
She is so cute.
I am blessed to be able to watch her.

What's Up with Me!

I made some more rag tops!!

I decided to try and add some more "BOY" Quilts!

Here it is finished.
Amara & Alyssa cute all of my rag tops so now they are all 100% done!

I also quilted two quilts! They both look like this pictured top.

Now I don't have any pinned tops.
I need to pin a few more of my quilt tops now that I have my pins taken out of these!
Here is a quilt that I have on my design wall!
Amara picked the layout.
I bought 17 half-square triangles at the fabric sale.
I found a few fabrics to add and made this!

Now all I have to do is sew all of the blocks!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

More Quilting Progress

Well, I finally finished a few quilt tops!
I was very pleased to get them done.
I get such a great sense of accomplishment whenever I finish a quilt top.

I have been hand embroidering this block. I finished a few more books. Only one more to go and then I am done with this block!

I pulled this quilt out of my closet and added this soft green border. I really like the size of it. Its not too big, but not too small.

This Spring Quilt is coming along GREAT!
Only one more border and then it is ready to go to the Longarmers.
I want this quilt to have an intricate pattern.
I can not wait to see it finished!

Here is the last border cut and ready to be sewn on.

And finally it is finished! I just LOVE it!
What do you think?

Here are some flannel squares that I cut.I cut them into 7" squares. I have two sets, one boy and one girl set.
I also cut a bunch of 10" squares out of girl fabric.
I am thrilled that all of this is from my stash.
I am really cutting down my bins of stored fabric. I am glad because I do not want to end up like the lady who's fabric was sold at the church. (I posed about it here.)

When I stopped sewing to check something on the computer I found Jackson hiding under the desk.
I love that he comes in the sewing room while I am sewing. He is so cute!
