Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY

Outside my window... It's Dark and drizzling

I am thinking... I am loving my life.

I am thankful... that my family is all healthy!

In the kitchen... The dishes are done and everything is cleaned up!

I am wearing... My comfy pj's!

I am creating... a new scrap quilt for my Quilted Hugs Project.

I am going... To OHIO with Lisa this week!

I am wondering... What God has for Detto.

I am reading... A time for Love ~ an Amish quilty book!

I am hoping... I can loose a few lbs. LOL

I am looking forward to... my trip with Lisa. We are going to visit Amish Country while we are up in Ohio!

I am learning... to trust God in all things.

Around the house... The Kids are Asleep (well, they are in bed at least) and Detto is working on his school work.

I am pondering... What next school year holds for me.

A favorite quote for today...
“You must learn some of my philosophy. Think only of the past as its remembrance gives you pleasure.”
― Jane AustenPride and Prejudice

One of my favorite things... My pets. They are so sweet, I love how they follow me around the house and cuddle with me wherever I go.

A few plans for the rest of the week: I am getting ready to go to Ohio with Lisa, but I have few things to finish up around here first.

A peek into my day...

Process Pledge!

I only have a few quilts "in Process" right now!
This is a Scrap Quilt that I am working on! It is totally scrappy, except for each block will have a purple square in it!

Lisa and I had our First Sewing Day in 4 months on Friday!!
This is what I worked on:
I made some cute "Kid" Winter Hats!

And I pieced this quilt top on Friday!
It came together REALLY quick.
Its not finished, but I finished 90% of it! I only need to add the finishing borders!
My sewing is really helping me. It is hard not talking to Detto on a regular basis and sewing is really helping me keep my mind busy!
I am so blessed to have a sewing room and a best friend to sew with!
Thank You Lord for all of my blessings!

Well, I've done it now...

I finally did it!
Can you believe it!
I've gone a done it now...

I went ahead and opened an ETSY shop! It's called Lisa's Quilt Garden .
I have made tons of quilty things, quilts, accessories, etc. and I have sold some here and there.
Everytime I make a new item I hear: "You know, you should sell that. People would buy them."

So, the preasure worked!!!
Now lets see if you all are right. LOL

I have only listed a few things at a time. A few of this and a few of that, but we will see how it turns out.

I have had all of this stuff sitting in my closet waiting for some lucky buyer!

Now they can all go to their new homes (in theory)!

I'm not going to hold my breath. I think that alot of people who appreciate handmade items - actually MAKE handmade items.
Let's hope I'm wrong, just in case I decided to sell some patterns as well! I have made patterns, mostly for me and Lisa, for the items that I have made.

Wish me luck and LOTS OF SALES!!
