Eating out in Mexico City! Missions Trip

We went to a beautiful authentic Mexican restaurant on the top floor of a downtown hotel.

We sat on the balcony and watched the rehearsals for the new James Bond movie!

This is the church that we visited earlier in the day.

The view of the square was amazing!

These dancers were practicing flips and even what looked like fighting moves.

Looking down on Mexico City was really neat.

We could even see the mountains in the distance.

Look more mountains.

Then we heard more music and saw that they were practicing more stuff.

We were trying to figure out what these were. After we saw the movie it made more sense.

We caught them taking a break. After being out there for all of those hours in the heat they deserved it!

Even though all of the beautiful building were around...the rooftop barbed wire threw me off a little.

The restaurant was very pretty.

I didn't notice from the ground that they had netting over the churches corners. I guess its to keep the birds away.

Here's our group eating and enjoying the break.

My food was really yummy!
I had Mexican Mole Chicken!
I love Spanish food!

Benito Juárez Museum and Mexico City

The furniture in the museum was from Benito Juárez's Presidential Home.

This chandelier was impressive.

A homemade doll!

These chairs were embroidered to be used as card table chairs.

I love that the embroidery was done by the women in order to beautify their homes.

The Presidents home office and smoking room.

The national emblem.

Mom resting!

The architecture was very intricate!

I love this iron work! What a beautiful way to decorate an area needed to provide security.

The street outside was filled with people working and living!

We looked left and saw the church.

After walking back across the square, we headed towards are lunch spot!

The James Bond Movie was being filmed while we were there.

This guy was demonstrating.

I'm not sure what his message was.

I love the way the streets looked.
