Quilts In Progress

I have taken my blue star blocks that I have made and or swapped and decided it is time to make them into a quilt top!! 

Then I hurted my poor lil' finger!

I have to go to the ER and have them cut on my poor baby finger twice. Ugh

Do you see my boo-boo??

The Dr. was not sure if it was a spider bite, bug bite, or just a cuticle infection. 

All I know is it hurt when they numbed me and TONS of puss came out! 

That made this project a little more difficult. 

But I was finally able to find a layout that I liked. 

Waiting for my finger to heal meant, no typing and definitely NO BLOGGING!! I was able to check my email and look who helped me! 

She is soooo cute! 

Juliette is just so helpful! 

These chair cushions have been begging to be recovered, but... Remember my finger?!?!

Finally, I was able to get to them! 

I found the fabric at the thrift store. 

Luckily, I was still able to shop even though my poor finger was hurted! LOL

I hope you have been much better than me!!

Quilting Update

With Detto gone I have been spending lots of time in my sewing room. 

I have spent time cleaning it and organizing it!

I even decided to work on some older projects that have been waiting around for me. 

Like this Braided Rug! It's getting bigger...

This is a photo of some of my nine patches that I have been doing daily. Lisa took a couple to use as examples for the upcoming Sewing Class!

I finished quilting this.Then I even made AND added the binding. 

I just didn't take a picture.

I decided to play around with some ideas on how I want to lay out this quilt...What do you think?

Lisa came over to make a skirt with me.And then I showed her how to make a sewing caddy. 

I really should post that tutorial.... Maybe tomorrow.

Process Pledge... Quilted Hugs

I have been cranking out some quilt tops. 

Most of these are for Quilted Hugs & some of them have no known destination. 

This quilt top is finally finished. 

Amara picked the lay-out and Lisa gave me the Crazy swirly fabric that I used for the border.

This Batman Panel turned out GREAT!  All I added was the black border and the red striped fabric! Easy Quilt Top! 

I prepared some final touches to some of my Summer Fun Quilt blocks to work on while I went to Ohio.

I thought this table runner was finished, but I had some more inspiration. 

These are just SOME of the books that I have listed on Amazon, e-Bay, and the Homeschool Group's sight for SALE!! 

I started this as a leaders and enders project. I am not sure what to call it.... Maybe Orange in the Corner??

My Mom gave me some bandanna's..Do you think they would make a good quilt top??

He is getting SOOOOOOO BIG! 

He has graduated from Middle School.... I cannot believe I have a HIGH SCHOOL-ER in the house.

Eating In Amish Country and more...

These people sure do know how to cook! 

I don't think I have eaten this much food since....Well, I don't know! 

Lisa and I ate at Mrs. Yoders Kitchen! 

We sure did enjoy the buffet.

I thought it was really cool to see Amish Girls

And Amish Boys eating there too!

After we left we headed out to find some more quilt shops!

We stopped at two of them, but they were both closed. 

So...We went to the

Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center! 

I loved seeing all of the Amish Stuff and learning more about their lives and traditions.

I LOVED the quilts! 

They were sooooo beautiful! 

We even got to try on their hats... 

They call them Prayer Kapps (pronounced cop).

Hee hee hee

I liked the straw hat too! 

After we were done shopping and playing, we decided it was time to get back on the road and finish our trip. We headed to go pick up Ronnie's Mom. 

This is Ohio's Longest Covered Bridge. 

We tried to drive on it, but it was closed. 

This is getting back to the main road.

As we were heading out of Amish Country we spotted this bakery from the road. So... we stopped to check it out! 

A small family ran it. Some of the cousins helped with the canning. 

All of the pies, bread, and goodies were baked that morning. 

It poured rain after we left the bakery. As soon as the deluge stopped we saw this rainbow!

It looked so much prettier in person! 

Look at this sign... isn't it cute?

Sunsets are so BEAUTIFUL! 

They change every second!
