More around town! Mexico

Stephen and I really enjoyed walking around and seeing Mexico at night!

It is a totally different place than it is during the day!

These guys walk around and sing and play!

This is the smallest street in the world!!

Mom and Dad and I went to visit my Dad's friend Carlos.

This is the view from his roof!

Yes, Noni and I climbed the ladder to the roof!

Here is Carlos posing with an antique quilt that I fell in love with!
After we left his art studio/home, I went and checked out a small local art studio!
I loved these mini quilts!

I want to recreate some of these!

This is the view of the street walking back to the house. I love how the flower pots are on the stairs!

There are local bands playing music on almost every street!

Returning to Guanajanto!

After we finished up our tour we headed back to Guanajanto!

I think it is a little gross to see this stuff being sold on the sidewalks! It just doesn't seem sanitary!

Pop Pop was oblivious to Stephen blowing him kisses in the car! Noni and I were cracking up and Pop Pop was carrying on a conversation with the driver in Spanish!

The mountains were soooo pretty!

I liked this hotel entrance.
It is sometimes hard to get good pictures in a moving car!

I love all of the bridges, statues, and sights in Mexico!

Both Alyssa and Stephen Completed their Spanish courses!

It was nice that they each got a certificate!

Check out this dog bone!!!
I was shocked at the size!

That night Stephen and I headed to the town center and look what was going on....a dancing competition!

I love how this theater looks at night!

Theatro Juarez in Guanajanto

This is the local theater in Guanajanto.

The stained glass window was really cool.

I love all of the details in this theater.

Everthing was hand painted.

This painting is HUGE!! You can't tell from the picture, but it was at least 7 feet high.

This town is soooo beautiful!

My Brave Stephen

Stephen decided that his hair was too long and he wanted a trim!

Well, that seems normal enough, however WE ARE IN MEXICO!!
We don't speak the language very well, so....

His spanish teacher took us to his hairstylist...
And tried to explain what Stephen wanted!

Stephen looks...Worried!

Alyssa and I enjoyed the View while we were waiting for him to get his hair cut!

This is the salon! The folding chairs in the background were cracking me up.

He wasn't THRILLED with the results, but after he put his own spin on it he was happier.
