Heading to Washington DC

We drove for hours and then everything came to a stop! Traffic Jam!

Finally we were getting somewhere. 

We decided that our first stop would be Arlington National Cemetery. 

It was very sombering.

To thing that all of these men and women died for our freedom.

I have such a beautiful family! 

This was our first glimpse of the downtown area!! 

We then went over the Potomac River.

We caught some great glimpses of where we would be going as we were driving.

In the park we found tons of people playing volleyball. I'm not sure why this surprised me, but it did. 

Then we headed to The National Mall!
