Things are changing around here

Has anyone noticed that my name for my blog has changed???
WELL....

Everything has been going pretty good.
I have been listing tons of HOMESCHOOL books on eBay and Amazon!

Alyssa has decided that she wants to go to "REAL" school next year and so I am cleaning off the shelves.
I figured out that I have home-schooled my kids a combined number 9 years!
Only 5 years consecutively.
Silly me I have been telling people that I have been homeschooling for longer, but when I sat down and counted I found out it was only 5 consecutive years!
Huh.... Who Knew?

Abby spent some time over here with us, but I will write more about that later.

I just love my kitty. Jasmine loves to sit here in the front window. She sits there so much that when she gets up the cushion is still indented.

Today I made some yummy treats for Memorial Day weekend. I made Key Lime Pie with homemade whipped cream!
AND...

Chocolate Ice Cream.
After I started making our own ice cream, I just don't like store bought ice cream as much!

Here are the quilts that I have been working on/ finishing up!

I quilted both of these!
Yippy for me!

This one is still just an idea forming!
It is a panel that I picked up for only $2!!
It is still speaking to me, so I will tell you what it says!

Honey Do List ~ By Lisa

Honey Do List ~ 5/23/2012

FYI, I don't just call Detto "honey", I also call him "Babe, Lover Lover, Sweetie, and lots more that you probably don't want to know.

But, anywho, here are:

"10 Things a Husband Should Do"

1.  Love you ONLY.

2.  Be a great dad.

3.  Remember important dates.

4.  Kiss you passionately at least once a day.

5.  Tell you that he loves you at least three times a day.

6.  Give great back rubs.

7.  Watch romantic movies with you.

8.  Hold your hand when you walk.

9.  Ignore all your Pedicure and fabric purchases.

10.  Be your best friend.

A few extras:

11.  Take you on a date at least once a month.

12.  Always compliment your cooking.

13.   Let you warm your cold feet on his legs.

I could go on and on.....

I got this idea from a blog that I follow, check it out here. She said to post what your "Honey Do List" is and then ask others to do the same.
I think this is a great idea, because it helps us to focus on what is truly important.
LOVE is the most important thing.

Thank You Detto for LOVING ME!

Hugs,

Getaway to Charleston, SC ~ Part 4

We walked everywhere on this trip.
I honestly think that is the only way to truly see this town.

Driving we would not have noticed this gate with the double fish.

Or the detail on the sign of this old movie theater.

I thought this was an interesting item to place in a store window. Isn't that just neat?

I might have to adopt this quote as my own!

Look at this old postage machine that I found in the store we stopped in.
Do you remember buying stamps from one of these?

Detto forgot his deodorant, so we needed to stop at this "General Store"!
It was really cute, but WAY overpriced!
Very Quaint!

While walking we also found a small bookstore...The books in the front window had me CRACKIN' UP!

So, we went inside and found this...
How romantically Shabby Chic!
I was also surprised to find a few quilts.

This quilt is made from recycled Indian Silk Saris! I love how they made it into a patchwork.

The Churches and Steeples here were just amazing.

I thought it was interesting to see "Dave Ramsay's" house! LOL

Many, Many, Many homes had plaques telling about this history of the home or owners.

We had to stop and find out about the Gullah baskets.
I bought some sweet grass roses from her and she told us about the Gullah / Geecci History.

To be continued...

Lisa
