Shop Hop, Quilts and Process Update!

Today was the first day of our LQS (Local Quilt Shops) Shop Hop!!

This is the first one that Lisa and I have gone on together!! Yeah!

We bought these great earing at the Leesburg Store!!

They are mini Rotary cutters that say "Quilter" on the handle!!

This is Me and Lisa in the Apopka Store!! One of our FAVORITE QUILT SHOPS!!

The kids like this store too!! They bring their books and play in the corner while Lisa and I shop!!

Stephen didn't want to come with us to this shop... Hmmmm I wonder why??

Alyssa and Kyle were pretending they were secret agents and this was their serious faces!! They were Crackin' me and the Employee's UP!! I was LOVIN' it!

Here is Jasmine trying to help me pin this Downy Quilts for Kids Quilt! I set it out so that I HAD to finish it!

I did pin it today. This is the one that Alyssa's Star's group was working on. I am just finishing it and quilting it for them. 

Last night I went over to Lisa's House to Sew for awhile...

We decided to cut blocks for our next QAL

I dont know why it took me SOOOOOO long, but I only got 7 1/2 out of 13 blocks cut!!

This is going to be a really cute quilt! We are using - Crazy Mom Quilts Star Quilt A Long! I cant wait to get started.... but first I have to finish Cutting my blocks!!

Here is my UPDATE on my Postage Stamp Quilt!! I cant believe how big it is!! It takes up Most of my design wall! I only need 4 more Big Blocks and I can start adding the borders! I spent over an hour at my LQS trying to figure out what kind of border I should do with this quilt! I think I might stick with something Light like a Tone on Tone, or Maybe a Solid Red, Or maybe a 1 1/4" Black Border and then a 3 1/2" Blue border, or maybe a 1" Cream & a 3" Blue Border. I need something to set this Busyness off. These are ALL 1 1/2 Inch finished pieces!! I LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS UP CLOSE!!

Process Pledge / Quilting Update!

Lisa and I have started a Quilt-A-Long!! We cut our fabric for 14 blocks and then we picked the last two on our own! This Friendship Circle is one that I paper pieced! I did a variation of the original! I picked this one for my other block. Here it is cut and waiting for me to sew the pieces together....

Here are two blocks that I got in the mail this week. These are apart of the Boomerang Swap.

And... This is my QAL that I am marking so that I can finish quilting it!

Also... These are two blocks that I made for a swap partner. I got so hooked on the log cabin blocks that I made earlier this week I made this one with Posie Fabrics.

 Her theme is Posies. So... I also made this one...

I used these Star Struck Blocks as Leaders and Enders!

If I am able to keep this up I will have this Star Struck Quilt finished soon! Here is the original that I got my inspiration from. This is a great way to use up scraps!

Process Pledge Update!

Here is what I have been working on...

I finished Alyssa's Quilts-4-Kids top... and I pinned it! Now all I have to do is Quilt is! I cant decide which pattern to do!

And.... I made these scrappy Stars blocks that I made to go with my QOV Quilt!

So that's my update! I have made two other blocks, but I cant show on here until....

I love making something out of scraps!

Today is the first day of KIDS COLLEGE!! Yeah for them! I hope they love it! Our church didn't do a Summer Camp this year, so instead we signed up the kids for KIDS COLLEGE!!

I am so excited for them!

4th of July!!

We had lots of fun hangin' with the Family and Friends! I love holidays!!

Happy Independence Day!!

Alyssa and Abby were all decked out in their 4th of July Bling!!

I enjoyed hanging out with my family!! I'm glad we all got to spend time together! Soon John and Sam will be heading to Italy and... :(

I just hope my family knows how much I love them and I care about them!

After we left Mom and Dads House we went to Downtown Leesburg to catch the fireworks... then we went home and watched our neighbors set off HUGE mortars!! It was cool!! We set off our little pack of fireworks and the kids had a blast with their Pop-its and Sparklers!

We also watched Avatar with Lisa and Ronnie! It was nice! We didnt start the movie until after 10:30pm ... I had a MUCH better 4th this year!! Last year was CRAZY running the fireworks stand!!

I hope everyone else had a great time too!!

3rd of July!!

Alyssa and Kyle went to a Church Lock-in on Friday Night and had a blast! This is them waiting to leave!

We have had a GREAT weekend! It was lots of fun!!

We went bowling as a family! It was so much fun!

Detto said that I make alot of faces when I bowl! So..... He took pictures to prove it!

I forgot to tell everyone!! Guess what....... I won! BOTH GAMES!! I have Never Won a bowling game in my life and..... I won twice in one day! (on a side note Detto wants me to meantion that he didn't have his glasses and so he couldnt see) But... I WON!! YIPPY!
